Our client manufactures plasterboard and dryline materials, they’re looking for a Architectural Technician to be based in Bristol.
As a Architectural Technician, you’d be dealing with Architectural Specification Managers, Drywall Site Technicians, Substantiation, Development, Commercial Sales, National Business Development Managers. These would be your internal route to market. Your external route to market would include main contractors, sub-contractors, building control, architects, consultants, engineers, designers and technicians.
Principal Responsibilities
Ensure high levels of customer and colleague satisfaction with all aspects of technical support.
Ensure specified project sites are responded to efficiently and effectively, with clear ownership and communication.
Maintain rapid enquiry turnaround time, meeting or exceeding service level agreements.
Work with team members in successfully resolving technical enquiries, either directly or with additional support from other teams.
Work with technical and commercial colleagues on the ongoing improvement of the technical offer and service, feeding insights discovered through 2nd line and construction support activity.
Support 1st, 2nd line, specification and construction support teams in expanding their understanding. Conduct knowledge shares to keep teams updated on technical issues.
Experience / Knowledge
A-levels or equivalent
Related bachelor degree
Team supervision experience
Construction technical support experience
Fluent in English
Drivers license
Advanced written and spoken technical communication
Advanced knowledge of drywall products, construction and detailing
Experience in the UK construction industry, particularly in construction detailing similar products and technologies
Familiar with the process and sequencing of relevant construction works. (Specific product knowledge can be learned).
Ability to co-ordinate self and others, working effectively as a team alongside internal and external colleagues to seamlessly deliver prompt and high-quality technical support in line with business service level objectives.
Able to read variety of construction drawings and documents to assess complex construction situations, identifying constraints and possible solutions to a technical problem.
