We’re currently recruiting for a client who is a market leading rental provider of excavation support systems and specialist products for the water, civil engineering, and construction industries. Our client has a remarkable 60-year heritage.
Are you comfortable in selling to Main & Sub Contractors?
- Base Salary: negotiable depending on experience with an uncapped bonus paid quarterly.

- Use of the pool car for the first 6 months then a choice of cars.

We are looking for someone from the Plant hire or Heavyside industry with the right experience.
Key Skills:
- Proven field sales experience.
- Experience in the Rental Market of Plant equipment.
- Knowledge of the construction industry and its market is required.
- Negotiation skills at all levels, good presentation skills and influencing techniques.
- Proven ability to build relationships and win new business.
This position would ideally suit a highly driven individual who has solid knowledge of the sector and who has, or would like to gain, experience in a sales environment. Our client is looking for someone who can build customer relationships, identify opportunities, and supply solutions through a customer-oriented approach.
Key Objectives:
The Area Managers play a pivotal role not only in the level of service our client offers but also in maintaining, managing, and growing their customer portfolio.
- You’ll spend most of your time visiting the clients customers wherever they’re busy working to find out how you can help them, demonstrating the company’s solutions.
- Covering Scotland, it’s far from traditional cold calling, it’s about nurturing and fostering relationships.
- Developing contacts on site with customers and helping them find the most innovative and cost-efficient solutions for their needs.
- Happy to get your hands dirty but also adaptable in your approach with the customer in front of you as it could be a senior management team one day to a site manager the next, finding yourself on construction sites or in offices and warehouses. This means rolling your sleeves up and demonstrating some of the most pioneering products and solutions in the industry, along with all the services and after-care.
