    Are you an Area Sales Manager looking for your next move?

    We’re currently recruiting for a manufacturer of surface drainage, who have been established for over 65 years. This making them one of the market leaders in the field of rainwater management. They are looking for an Area Sales Manager to cover South West and South Wales.

    Overall, Purpose of the job

    As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for proactively identifying, pursuing and closing sales opportunities within your assigned territory. You will thrive in a fast-paced, results- driven environment, using your strong negotiation and relationship-building skills to win business from contractors and merchants.

    Principal Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute an area sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.
    • Deliver market growth across a wide variety of sectors, including civils, commercial, infrastructure, industrial and residential.
    • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, focused primarily on contractors and merchants.
    • Identify and target new business opportunities for project sales and stock sales.
    • Work alongside the National Specification Manager to identify early-stage opportunities and to ensure specifications are maintained through the sales cycle.

    Skills/Experience

    • Self-motivated, competitive and results driven.
    • 5 years+ experience in technical field sales within civils, drainage or similar products.
    • A technically minded individual who is adept at learning technical concepts and explaining these to customers.
    • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Lives within the territory or within a commutable distance.
