    We’re currently recruiting for a British manufacturer supplying our merchant customers for over 50 years. They manufacturer and supply sustainable building products from ground level right up to the roof ridge. They are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join their external sales team covering the Northwest and North Wales.

    Key objectives:

    • Be accountable for developing and implementing an area business plan targeting merchants in conjunction with their Regional Sales Manager which will align with the company’s commercial strategy.
    • Develop and deliver first class business relationships that increase selling opportunities with national or independent merchant customers.
    • To ensure consistent and first-class standards of operation are always adhered to (including, call plans, CRM reporting, quotes, and pricing etc.) and presented in a timely manner.
    • Identify and develop effective and mutually beneficial relationships with groundworkers, brickwork contractors, roofing contractors and dry lining contractors.
    • Identify and develop effective and mutually beneficial relationships with Developers at both local and regional levels.
    • Visit developer sites to understand current specifications and opportunities for the product range.

    Keys Skills:

    • Strong formal and informal presentation skills.
    • MUST have existing relationships with builders and roofing merchants in your area.
    • Effective written and face to face communication skills.
    • Negotiation and account management skills.
    • Effective time management.
    • Good business acumen.
    • Highly self-motivated with strong resilience.
    • Good understanding of the general builder/roofing merchant sector and associated product knowledge.
    • Conversant with Microsoft Office and Google Maps.

    Package:

    • Base salary is negotiable for the right person.
    • Potential bonus of up 30% based on company targets.
