    Our client is the division responsible for driving profitable growth as the leader in cement building materials. They are looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager in Ireland, covering the Republic of Ireland.

    As the Area Sales Manager your customers would be Installers, Builders Merchants, Roofing Merchants, Contractors, and House Builders.

    Objectives of an Area Sales Manager:

    • To grow the Facade & Roof market within their designated region through acquisition of Installers.
    • To establish a stockist network across their region to support the needs and to supply large volume contracts including housebuilder contracts, local authority refurbishments and other large projects.
    • To be available and responsive to existing and new customers.
    • To seek the best commercial performance for the brand within guidelines laid down by the Company.
    • The Area Sales Manager is responsible for planning and carrying out activities to maintain and develop optimised sales in accordance with agreed business plans.

    Responsibilities of an Area Sales Manager:

    • To build strong relationships with the Installers, helping to nurture and grow the business with these key stakeholders.
    • To account manage the distributor network within the area to ensure that they have all the required knowledge, product stock and information to provide the best experience to the end user.
    • Persuade specifiers to promote the range of products and systems solutions to ensure that they are used on projects.
    • To manage sales area to meet sales revenue budget.
    • Plan journeys and customer calls to achieve optimum use of time.
    • Identify new market opportunities for Facade and Roofs.


    • A track record in a similar sales role, being experienced with working remotely.
    • A market knowledge of builder merchants and specialist distributors.
    • A strong technical knowledge of products and systems.
    • Flexible approach, often required to work outside ‘normal’ office hours.
    • Good organisation and time management skills.
    • Excellent spoken communication skills and are able to influence people at all levels of an organisation.


    • Base salary is negotiable for the right person.
