We’re currently recruiting for an Assistant Branch Manager for an independent Builder’s Merchants to be based at the Stockton branch.
They’re looking for someone who will be supporting the General Manager to promote and expand the profitable operation of the Branch, supporting also his responsibilities to attain the agreed forecasts. In the absence of the General Manager to undertake all branch responsibilities.
Remuneration Package
- Negotiable base salary up to £35,000
- Profit Share Scheme (tax free up to £3,600)
- Pension Scheme – Single matched up to 5%
- Health cash plan with HealthShield
- Life Assurance 4 x annual salary
- 24 days raising to 26 days with service plus bank holidays
- 07:30-17:00 alternate Saturday 08:00-12:00
Principal Responsibilities
- Generally, assist and deputise for General Manager.
- Maintain discipline and morale.
- Organise the scheduling of staff to achieve maximum efficiency.
- To ensure that all staff are trained to follow Company procedures effectively.
- Build strong customer relations and cultivate new business.
- To maintain the Company corporate high standards and policy.
- Control and purchase of stock within Company guidelines.
- Organise accurate stock checks as required.
Knowledge & Experience
- Capable of adapting to a mix of personalities and creating a winning attitude, good negotiator both internally and externally.
- Strong desire to work with other internal teams to develop mutually rewarding business.
- The ability to part of the overall company ambition
- Merchant Experience
- Excellent Product Knowledge
