    Are you a Business Development Manager looking for your next venture?

    Are you experienced in selling insulation and associated products (insulation, plasterboard, roofing membranes, fire stopping and fire protection)?

    Are you based in East London, Essex, East Sussex, or Kent?

    We’re currently recruiting for a client who are one of Ireland’s leading family-owned distributors of building materials specialising in insulation and drywall products, to the Irish and UK markets.

    They are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to cover East London, Essex, East Sussex, or Kent.

    Key objectives:

    • Maximising opportunities from an existing ledger alongside business creation with new customers to achieve monthly sales and margin targets.
    • Work closely with the Branch Manager and internal sales team to obtain and convert enquiries into orders.
    • Exceed customer expectations to become the supplier of choice.

    Key Skills:

    • Hunger and determination to increases revenue streams from existing customers and source new customer business.
    • Commercially astute with demonstrable record of managing margins.
    • Effective sales knowledge of at least one of the following product sectors: insulation or drylining systems.
    • Effective sales knowledge of at least one of the following contractor sectors: drylining, ground workers, roofing, cladding, main contractor.
    • Experience of being accountable for a minimum annual sales budget of £2m p.a.
    • Exemplary work ethic and team player.
    • Strive for excellence in all sales and customer related matters.
    • Strong sales administration disciplines – quote management, CRM system, diary management etc.
    • Self-management to effectively operate in an external sales role, with diverse and widespread customers.

    • Rises to the challenge of deadlines and a potentially fast changing commercial landscape.
    • Enjoys the success of achieving sales and margin targets.
    • Drive, enthusiasm, competitive but not at any cost.
    • Plenty of initiative.
