We’re looking for an Engineered Timber Designer with CAD experience to join an independent builders’ merchants in Cardiff. If you have experience with CAD design and are ready to take on an exciting new challenge, this could be the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Design Preparation: Create designs for structural floors, roof trusses, and timber frames using CAD software.
- Market Development: Help expand the company’s market share of Engineered Timber Products.
- Efficiency: Work to reduce production waste and operational costs.
- Compliance: Ensure designs meet supplier recommendations and building regulations.
- Customer Support: Handle technical enquiries and provide information to customers and staff.
- Collaboration: Work with management and sales teams to ensure profitable orders.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: At least 2 years of CAD design experience.
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, knowledge of building regulations, and design software for floor/roof trusses.
- Knowledge: Understanding of construction materials and practices, spatial requirements, and floor structures.
- Personal Attributes: Smart appearance, punctual, courteous, and enthusiastic.
- Potential: Opportunity for career development into a managerial role.
