We’re looking for a General Manager to run our Stockton branch. You’ll lead a team of 18, including an Assistant Branch Manager, Plumbing & Heating Manager, and the internal sales team.
This is one of our largest and most successful branches. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations, driving sales, and maximizing profitability. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for customer experience, safety, and continuous improvement. You’ll need to be adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all branch operations: customer service, sales, margin, stock levels, safety, and colleague engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal colleagues to support branch activities and business goals.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
Knowledge & Experience
- Experience in the builder’s merchant sector and understanding of core products.
- Significant operational management experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
