We’re currently recruiting for a Manufacturer of acoustic, fire and thermal insulation solutions for building facades for over 45 years. They’re looking for a Regional Specification Manager to be based in London.

The primary function of this role is to support the sales strategy of the company, focusing on interacting with Architects and Supply Chain customers to the benefit of both businesses. You are the face of the business for these channels, supplying a professional, responsive, and positive service to customers, putting our customers first as all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Regional Specification Manager (RSM), you will be responsible for the management of Architects and Supply Chain customers within your nominated region.
- To create demand via specification for our product portfolio and system solutions to ensure growth in all relevant applications.
- Seek and develop new opportunities with targeted specifiers, design teams, and architects to add to the portfolio.
- Collaborate with the commercial teams ensuring orders are fulfilled, including on-site support when required. Develop and maintain relationships within Architectural and Strategic Partner accounts at all levels – executive, office, and site.
Job function Technical Knowledge & Skills:
- Management of the day-to-day tasks necessary for the successful running of our supply chain agreements, pipelines, and future collaborations
- Manage time effectively in the field by spending at least 3 working days in front of customers.
- Develop and maintain in depth knowledge of market and sectors, especially relating to market trends, opportunities, threats, and competitors’ activities; and providing appropriate communication and direction to internal departments.
- Gain an understanding of your customers’ wants and needs then support them to deliver growth for both businesses.
- Deliver training presentations to user groups when required and agree to implement follow-up activities that will lead to winning opportunities.
- Attend events and exhibitions when required to represent the brands and seek new prospecting business.
- Develop close relationships with customers continually adding value to such relationships, thereby ensuring continued customer loyalty (solution sales and pull demand).
- Provide solutions for identified end users and monitor the build programme with the aim to convert to a secured project.
Key Skills:
- Understanding of route to market and influence of contract types on creating and of holding specification
- Understanding of facades (rainscreen, masonry and curtain wall)
- Technical background
- Has worked in a similar industry or ability to demonstrate transferrable skills that would apply in selling a value-added proposition through design.
- Degree Level or equivalent industry experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to challenge and influence positively.
- Professional presentation style to customers and colleagues.
- Confident communication style, and able to engage at all levels internally and externally.
- Proactive approach to change and be innovative in sharing new ideas.
- Logical approach to planning and the ability to cope well under pressure.
- Pro-active and results-orientated, focused on meeting schedules, deadlines, and performance goals.
