Our client is an independent builders’ merchants and they are looking for a Sales Manager to lead the sales operation across their trading area.
They are looking for someone that can:
- Lead on the sales strategy for the trading business across the region.
- Appoint and manage a team of Sales Representatives, both internal and external.
- Play a senior role in setting targets for the business.
- Formulate, implement, and drive sales plans.
- Report on company performance to the Sales Director, the Board and wider business on a regular basis.
- Identify opportunities and deliver improvements to increase sales and profitability.
- Build strong working relationships with customers, existing & new.
- Confidently lead the sales operation of the business while maintaining the highest standards.
- Communicate clearly and positively, providing support to the trading operation.
Key Skills:
- Be a dynamic and strategic leader with strong communication skills.
- Have extensive previous experience in a sales environment and have strong commercial acumen.
- Work well under pressure and be flexible in your approach.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate strongly at all levels and manager people.
- Have a sound knowledge of IT systems as well as sales information systems.
