We’re currently recruiting for a leading manufacturer of steel lintels; they’re currently looking for a Head of Marketing to be based at their head office either in Swadlincote or Cookstown.
Overall function of the job
As Head of Marketing, you will define and execute the marketing, public relations, and branding strategies in the UK and Ireland. Your leadership will drive brand awareness, support business growth, and enhance customer engagement, ensuring the clients brands remain at the forefront of the industry.
Remuneration Package
- Base salary is negotiable depending on experience up to £80k
- Package is open for discussion
- Can include a company car
- Hybrid 1 day a week at home (after a couple of months full time office work for training)
Principal Responsibilities
- Strategic Marketing & Brand Development
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and campaigns that align with business objectives.
- Establish a long-term marketing roadmap to drive sales performance and growth.
- Digital Marketing & Lead Generation
- Lead digital marketing initiatives, including website management, SEO, PPC campaigns. CRM/email marketing, and social media.
- Optimise digital channels to drive website traffic, increase engagement, and generate high-quality leads.
- Events, PR & Industry Engagement
- Plan and coordinate participation in trade shows, conferences, and sponsorship events to showcase our products and capabilities.
- Develop and execute a PR strategy to increase brand awareness and customer engagement.
- Budget & Performance Management
- Prepare and manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Establish key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and report on ROI.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor and develop the marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Set clear goals, provide guidance, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Marketing & Competitor Analysis
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of market trends, customer insights and competitor activity to inform strategic decision making.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication
- Work closely with the internal and external sales teams to ensure alignment between marketing and sales strategies.
- Manage external create and PR agencies while overseeing internal approval processes to ensure timely project delivery within budget.
- Health & Safety Leadership
- Champion a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with company health & safety guidelines.
- Lead by example and challenge unsafe behaviours in the workplace.

Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing impactful marketing strategies.
- A creative and inspirational leader with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing marketing team.
- Strong ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
