We’re currently recruiting for a well-established and growing company specialising in innovative insulation systems, based in Birmingham. Operating within government-funded schemes, their work focuses on solutions like solid wall, underfloor, and roof insulation – improving homes and reducing energy usage across the UK.
They’re now looking for a Technical Inspection Manager to cover the South of the UK, helping to ensure the highest standards of installation and compliance are met.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for conducting on-site and remote technical inspections, ensuring all insulation work meets specification and complies with material standards. You’ll support installers, maintain customer relationships, and uphold the company’s reputation for technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out remote and on-site technical inspections of installer work
Deliver technical training and support to approved installation partners
Provide expert technical advice via phone, video call, and site visits
Monitor installation quality and compliance with company standards
Build strong relationships with customers and support their long-term success
Investigate and report on customer complaints and technical issues
Write clear, formal inspection and monitoring reports
Collaborate with other departments to ensure fast and effective resolutions
Key Performance Indicators
High-quality installations maintained through regular inspections
Efficient time and diary management
Growth and retention of customer base
Timely, detailed admin and reporting (including non-compliance reports)
Skills & Competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent planning, organisation, and time management
Confident handling objections and solving problems
Good understanding of insulation systems and building practices
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Team player with a customer-focused mindset
Experience in technical inspection or quality control is highly desirable
