We’re currently recruiting for a manufacturer of passive fire protection and insulation solutions. They’re We’re working with a leading manufacturer in the construction industry who is looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join their team, covering Scotland, the North East, and Cumbria.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in building materials who also enjoys developing business, training customers, and promoting high-quality products across the supply chain.
What You’ll Be Doing
Grow sales across your region by working with housebuilders, contractors, merchants, and distributors
Provide technical training and support to ensure correct installation and product use
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Analyse your market and report on trends and opportunities
Promote brand awareness and secure product specifications
Ensure compliance with health & safety and industry regulations
What You’ll Need
3–5 years in technical or consultative sales (ideally in building materials or construction)
Strong knowledge of building regulations, materials, drawings, and processes
Experience delivering presentations and managing multiple client projects
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Comfortable using CRM tools and familiar with CCPI
A relevant qualification (minimum IFE Level 2)
Must be happy to travel across your patch, with some overnight stays and attendance at events and awards.
