We’re currently recruiting for a company who supply world-class pipes and fittings for water solutions. They’re proud to work alongside their clients to tackle the world’s water crisis by supplying modern pipelines that last for generations. Our client operates in 125 countries around the world, as part of their ongoing expansion in the UK and Ireland, they are looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join their team to cover the Midlands .
Key Objectives of a Technical Sales Manager:
- Win new customers (contractors, distributors) and collaborate with designers and investors. Search for and win new projects. Manage product sales: negotiate transaction terms – within the remit, determine detailed transaction terms and supervise the deal: “lead-to-order”, represent the company in the assigned area.
- Ensure good customer service: meetings, communication, quotations, technical advice, sales, and after sales services.
- Perform all sales activities in compliance with the applicable local laws and in-house regulations, especially the Code of Conduct and the compliance standards.
- Prepare and implement marketing activities in the assigned area.
- Train the employer’s customers on matters and dates set by superiors.
- Plan and report work in the CRM system, including plan working time and contacts with customers, measure effectiveness of own actions. 60-80% of time working in the field with clients and during business trips.
- Prepare reports on accomplished tasks and reporting on the progress of sales actions – all to Regional Sales Manager.
Key Skills:
- A proven sales track record within water/B2B Construction industry related background.
- University degree, preferably in engineering is an advantage.
- Able to work on own initiative, whilst also being a strong team player.
- Knowledge of using CRM reporting systems and effective territory planning.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at a time.
- Readiness to go on frequent business trips, occasional visits to production and R&D plants in Europe and Scandinavia as requested.
- Driving Licence and valid passport.
