We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a highly successful client, who are looking to employ a Trading Director. This is an excellent opportunity to join an industry well known business that is well regarded within the independent merchant sector who, for over 25 years, has a rich tradition of supporting stakeholders.
You’ll need to have prior experience of managing a team and be confident in being the first point of contact and principal communicator with the supplier base.
The successful candidate will require a good understanding of the construction industry, competitors, suppliers, market conditions, trends and customer needs. A specific understanding of the independent builders merchant sector and the role that Buying Groups play would also be preferable.
This role will allow for an excellent negotiable base salary, 15-20% discretionary bonus, negotiable car allowance, 25 days holidays + stats.
