    Are you based in Andover?

    We are currently recruiting for a client who are a specialist Builders Merchants with over 40 years’ experience within the construction industry. They currently have 7 trade stores in Andover, Southampton, Salisbury, Portsmouth, Biggleswade, Taunton and Bournemouth.

    The Transport Coordinator will be accountable for ensuring all routing is efficiently completed within designated timeframes. This involves ensuring timely deliveries of stock to customers as well as replenishing the trade stores with a 99% accuracy rate, consistently delivering on time and in full.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure all routing is efficiently completed within designated timeframes.
    • Ensure timely deliveries of stock to customers and replenishing trade stores with a 99% accuracy rate.
    • Managing a delivery roster that optimizes opportunities for truck drivers whilst maintaining punctuality and resource efficiently.
    • Follow up on any late deliveries or customer backorders until resolved.
    • Provide support to the warehouse team and Transport manager as required.  
    • Committed to driving continuous improvement initiatives, constantly refining processes and procedures in line with the company’s growth plans, which may involve exploring and adopting modern techniques.

    Key Skills:

    • Minimum 1 years’ experience with a routing software
    • Knowledge of Descartes Routing software preferable
    • Effective communication and people skills
    • An individual capable of making effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Driver CPC desirable

    • Hours: 12:00 – 21:00 (negotiable) Monday – Friday (1 hour lunch)
