Are you a Category Manager looking for your next role?
We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a highly successful client, who are seeking a Category Manager to join their team.
Principal Responsibilities
- Accountable for the sales and gross margin for the categories managed, developing and maintaining an ongoing margin improvement plan.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and potential suppliers to the categories and negotiate agreements including ranging, cost prices, marketing support, payment periods and rebates, measure performance against set targets through supplier engagement plans.
- Keep the category delivering to the agreed budget for sales, gross margin and working capital.
Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to work across functions and influence colleagues in a collaborative way to achieve goals
- Capable of analysing and identifying market and product opportunities and supporting the business in exploiting these opportunities
- Strong and flexible negotiator
