Salary: Negotiable depending on experience + use of poole car when needed
Hours: Monday – Friday 7am – 5pm + Saturday Morning ( every other Saturday)
We’re currently recruiting for a family owned independent builders merchant specialising in the heavyside of building supplies. They’re looking for a Branch Manager to come in and manager a team of 5 including 2 drivers, 1 yard and 2 trade counter sales people.
This role is better suited to someone who is more sales focused than rather operational.
Principal Responsibilities
- Management of all branch sales personnel including their recruitment, training and effective rostering.
- Be responsible for the daily smooth and safe operations of the 3 acre branch and it’s employees.
- Setting of overall branch Sales and Profit Budgets in agreement with the Sales Director.
- Setting of staff sales and profit targets & control of branch expenditure.
- To proactively seek sales opportunities for the branch & looking to professionally the merchandise the branch sales areas.
Key Knowledge & Skills
- An individual with strong product knowledge of the sector, with a working knowledge of the merchant sector.
- A proactive individual who can grow and develop the business with the one-man trade side of the business.
- A relationship builder who can gain respect from both staff and customers. An individual who will use good judgement in making commercial decisions.
- Capable of adapting to a mix of personalities and creating a winning attitude, good negotiator both internally and externally.
